BLDSS

British Library Document Supply Service APIs are a suite of APIs that enable systems to seamlessly integrate with British Library’s Document Supply Service.
The BLDSS APIs are integrated into Alma’s resource sharing component. Using the APIs, Alma resource sharing staff may fully enjoy the automation options that Alma’s peer to peer resource sharing model allows.

The following BLDSS APIs are used:

• Match
• create order
• get orders

In order to support the BLDSS communication, a partner of BLDSS type should be configured in Alma. Note that it is possible to use the BLDSS test environment (base URL: http://apitest.bldss.bl.uk) or the production environment (base URL: http://api.bldss.bl.uk).
