Ex Libris App Center
This app can be used to identify whether a potential candidate for weeding is the last publicly-discoverable copy of that title in the consortium (Network Zone scope). Pushing the search to Primo automatically ignores suppressed titles and locations. By using ISBN and other loose criteria, the search results quickly pull together potential matches from NZ members, even if individual institutions used different bibliographic records for the same resource.
This app will take a barcode of a physical item and create a Primo search to see if the item is a “Last Copy”.
- Scan in a barcode or search for an item
- The app grabs OCLC numbers and any NZ numbers with the API and creates a Primo link that searches for those numbers
- You can also use the field checklist to perform a search as a last resort if the first result is lacking.
