Alma Analytics – Determining the price for cost per use for a portfolio which has its own POL of type Continuous

This relates to the Cost Per Use in Alma Analytics E-Inventory subject area.
Default reports and dashboard in folder “/shared/Alma/Cost per use via COUNTER reports e-inventory and acquisitions data”

In this case we are referring to resources which have their own POL.

This is not a case where the POL is for an entire electronic collection and the resource is one portfolio of that electronic collection.

The price for electronic resources with their own POL for each fiscal year comes the transaction amount for transaction of type expenditure according to the fiscal period of the fund used for the transaction.

We will explain this further via an example.

In the screenshot below we can see that

  • Title “Journal of women’s health” has it’s own POL
  • Title “Frontiers a journal of women’s studies” does not have its own POL (it has cost because it is part of an electronic collection which has a POL)
  • The POL of “Journal of women’s health” is of type continuous

We also see that journal of women’s health has the following cost for the following fiscal years:

  • FY-2017 = 264.00
  • FY-2018 = 284.76
  • FY-2019 = 301.85

As stated above:

The price for each fiscal year comes the transaction amount for transaction of type expenditure according to the fiscal period of the fund used for the transaction.

We have fund “Gender Studies” for POL-6345

For FY-2019 we see that there is an expenditure for this POL for 301.85.  That is exactly like the Alma Analytics report.

For FY-2018 we see that there is an expenditure for this POL for 284.76.  That is exactly like the Alma Analytics report.

For FY-2017 we see that there is an expenditure for this POL for 264.00.  That is exactly like the Alma Analytics report.

Here is a “close-up” of the price per fiscal year for the POL:
