Hi.
In order to develop a mobile app based on the Aleph RESTful APIs: is it possible to perform searches of bib records through the Aleph RESTful APIs?
Reading the documentation I think it’s not possible. If it’s so, should my app use both RESTful and X-Services “mixed” together?
Could someone explain me?

Dear Urbini, Hello.

The search of bibliographic records is possible by using X-services. For example – the ‘find’ and ‘find-doc’ X-Services.
You can use both X-services and RESTful APIs in your application “mixed” together.

thanks a lot for your reply!

About X-services: I heard that they are deprecated for Ex Libris, aren’t they? If it’s so, I guess that Ex Libris is planning to move all x-services to the equivalent RESTful sevices and this will happen in a time frame. Consequently, we should be aware that we shall modify what we are now developing. Or not?

All X-services that appear in the developer network site can be used by customers.
Questions about future development plans should be addressed to the local office / distributor or to Product Manager.
