I’m able to update other User object fields, but setting the “force_password_change” field to “TRUE” (as instructed in the documentation) does not seem to do anything.

I don’t get any errors back, which would lead me to believe the force_password_change has been set. However, when retrieving the User information again the field is blank.

This does not appear to be a field that requires an override parameter to be present based on the documentation.

How do I force a password change for an internal patron?

    Thanks,

    David

I’m experiencing the same issue. setting the “force_password_change” field to “TRUE” (as instructed in the documentation) does not seem to do anything.

    If you send true
You’ll see in the UI that the checkbox “Force password change on next login” is checked (and if you’ll try to login to Alma with the user that was updated by the API you’ll be asked to change your password.
You are correct that the API returns an empty regardless. We have an open bug for it, and we’ll fix it for the Dec 2022 Release.
Apologies for the confusion this may have caused,
